Resource Efficiency Atlas (rea) - International observation of resource efficiency potentials of technoogies and products as a contribution to fields of action of innovation policies for a sustainable development
The Resource Efficiency atlas is an international sample of efficient technologies and products. The central aim of this project is the promotion of ressource efficient technologies and products.
What are resource efficient technologies and products?
These are technologies which save costs and contribute significantly to the protection of resources. They can replace old technologies or use existing technologies in a new way. Such products and technologies from around the world are made public in the resource efficiency atlas.
Relevant fields of products and technologies are:
- Production
- IT and communication
- Automation
- Optics
- Energy engineering
- Environmental engineering
- Textiles
- Food
- Micro systems
- Bio technology
- Nano-engineering
- Material
- Buildings and living
- Transportation and traffic
Until end of November 2009 new technologies and products are searched for. In case you develop, use or know a resource efficient product or technology please contact us. The resource efficiency atlas is produced on behalf of the federal ministry for education and research. Trifolium cooperates with the Wuppertal Institute for climate, environment and energy, the Fraunhofer Institute for industrial engineering and the Institute for industrial engineering of the University of Stuttgart.
